We Don't Move On, But We Can Move Forward

The goal of anyone's personal grief journey is for the happiness to outweigh the sadness, and the laughter to outweigh the tears in time, and for them to be able to live life with hope. It is hard in the beginning of grieving to have hope, as we wonder why something so terrible has happened to us. Often after we lose a loved one, we have to let go of the life that we thought we were going to have, and replace those images of our future with one that meets our reality.

As an anonymous poet has said:

Hope is not the closing of your eyes to the difficulty, the risk, or the failure.

It is a trust that, if I fail now, I will not fail forever; and if I am hurt, I will be healed.

It is a trust that life is good, love is powerful, and the future is still full of promises.

Grief is a sign that you have loved well in life, and not even death can end that love. Our life journey will always include our loved one in our past, present, and future, but in ways that are different from when they were physically present with us. Life Coaching can help you to find ways to move forward in this journey.
